Lisa Matthes is a Registered Nurse, with a Bachelor of Science degree. She has been practicing nursing since 1997, primarily in critical care. She is currently working on her Master's degree in midwifery, and plans to complete it in May, 2008. Lisa is the mother to four children, ages 14 years through 17 months. Informed consent issues touched her personally when a physician tried to force her into a c-section with her youngest child. She hopes to always be a strong advocate for her patients, and to help them learn to advocate for themselves.

So many have asked that we share what we do for our family, so I have created these pages and update them regularly.   I strongly suggest you hire a ND, NHD or Herbalist to assist you if you or your child has a serious medical condition and you wish to use CAM treatments.   This site is for information and education only and is based on information I have received from MD's, ND's and Herbalists as well as from our own experience with our son's cancer.   In my way of thinking, prevention is much better than trying to cure a disease.   Information gathered and presented here is based on OUR choices and things that worked for our family.   I am not responsible for your choices and I am not an MD.    All of our pages are copyrighted and are the result of years of research and trial and error.  Please ask before copying my notes.  I appreciate a link back to our site in return for the use of our info.

If this website has been helpful to you, please consider making a donation to Samuel's Medical Fund which is used to pay off his many medical bills.  Thank you!
